Luxurious. Elegant. Classic. The King Edward is a unique building with a high-profile history dating back to the 20th century. Known as one of the true ‘grand hotels,’ the King Edward features a stunning lobby rotunda with a vaulted three-storey glass ceiling and an elegant second-story arcade of columns. This rejuvenation project is spearheaded by the award-winning Dundee Realty Corporation, who is known for their high-quality work. Dundee is working with ERA Architects, who have been a part of historic building restorations in the past, such as the iconic Flatiron building as well as the Distillery district.

The intent is to enhance the historical features rather to than diminish them, maintaining elements such as Old Café Victoria with its intricate plasterwork. Hotel areas that have been refurbished include the lobby, exterior façade, fitness centre, spa, salon, and the Royal Club Lounge on the 11th floor. Living at the new King Edward means that the bars, restaurants, and public spaces in the hotel are yours to share with friends, fellow residents, and hotel guests alike. From Elizabeth Taylor to John Lennon, The King Eddy was, and will continue to be, the place to see and be seen. The new private residences will renew the building’s long-held status of luxury and refinement.

Beyond the high-class reputation and high-quality redevelopment, Residences at the King Edward are close to numerous important Toronto landmarks such as the St. Lawrence Market, the Eaton Centre, Yonge-Dundas Square, world-famous theatre venues, art galleries, and endless fine dining options like Canoe, Bymark, and Jump restaurants.
